Lieutenant Christiane Caya UPAR 35 Svc Bn
The 31st of March 2010, Lieutenant-Colonel Telah Morrison underlined the re-numbering of the battalion in a sombre ceremony. Amongst a few members of the battalion, she raised the new flag of 35th Service Battalion for the first time.
This new name came into effect the 1st of April 2010 after a decision made by the Chief of Land Staff to re-organize and re-number all of the reserve service battalions in Canada. This was the result of a comprehensive study done to optimize the reserve structure in Logistics Support. There will now only be 10 Reserve Service battalions in Canada, with each one reflecting the number of their brigade of origin.
This meant that 55th Service Battalion will now reflect the number of its brigade, 35th Canadian Brigade Group. Proud of its heritage, 35th Service Battalion will continue its excellent support while maintaining its historic roots.
